SABE Conference - Indianapolis - 2008!
Thursday, July 12, 2007

Self-Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE), the nation’s largest consumer directed organization, will head to Indianapolis for their 2008 convention, September 4-7, 2008; at Indianapolis’ largest and newest downtown hotel, the Marriott.

What promises to be the largest SABE convention ever, with expected participation of 1,500-2,000 people, will be a landmark effort for Indiana.

Betty Williams, President of Self-Advocates of Indiana; along with the hardworking board of directors and helpers, played a key role in landing this milestone event for Indiana.

There will be a call for volunteers to help in several areas with this tremendous project. Already the support of TheArcLink’s Elbert Johns and INARF’s Nanette Wenclewicz has been tremendous.

FSSA has stepped up to the plate as well, providing financial support to SAI to hire a professional meeting planner and assist with the cost of the conference to lower registration costs.

You can follow the conference developments at: www.SABE2008.org

Be sure to mark the date and plan to attend and support Self-Advocates from Indiana to attend the SABE 2008 conference Sept 4-7, 2008.
