When you join The Arc you are part of a network of families, self-advocates and professionals providing support, experience, information and encouragement to one another. When you join The Arc you will be a member of your local chapter, The Arc of Indiana, and The Arc of the United States.
Help Continue The Arc's Mission
When you join The Arc you belong to a well-established and respected state and national association. The Arc US, established in 1950 and The Arc of Indiana, established in 1956, were founded by parents who joined together to build a better and more accepting world for their children. You will help support and benefit from The Arc's mission to inspire positive change in public policy and public attitudes.
Make Your Voice Heard
When you join The Arc you unite with many strong voices that public officials listen to and respect in the Indiana General Assembly and Washington D.C.
Learn
When you join The Arc you will receive The ArcNews in Indiana from the The Arc of Indiana, and The ArcInsight from The Arc of the United States.You will receive information about trainings, conferences and special events, where you will meet and learn from other families and professionals.
Become a Leader
When you join The Arc, you have the opportunity to participate in your local Arc, The Arc of Indiana and The Arc of the United States, becoming an advocate for change and a voice for people with disabilities.
How Do I Join?
If there is a local chapter of The Arc in your county, you can join by contacting your local Arc. When you join at the local level, you also become a member of The Arc of Indiana and The Arc of the United States. If there is not a local chapter in your county, you can join as an "at large" member of The Arc of Indiana, You will also become a member of The Arc of the United States.
