Center for Youth and Adults with Conditions of Childhood
Provides consultative services for youth and young adult patients 11-22 as well as adult patients with developmental disabilities and serious chronic illness. Patients are seen at Wishard Primary Care Center, Indianapolis.

DADS – Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome
Assists and supports fathers and families of people with Down syndrome.

Governor's Council for People with Disabilities
The Governor's Council for People with Disabilities aims to promote public policy that leads to the independence, productivity and inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. For people interested in learning how to be an advocate, the council offers a Partners in Policymaking course once a year. The council may also provide financial assistance for people with disabilities who wish to participate in conferences or workshops.

Works to improve and expand integrated employment opportunities, services, and outcomes for persons experiencing disabilities.

Indiana Coalition for Human Services
ICHS advocates for quality, accessible, and comprehensive services for Hoosiers in need through lobbying & public policy, grassroots organizing, and outreach education. The Arc of Indiana is a member of ICHS.

Indiana Protection and Advocacy
Created in 1977 by state law to protect and advocate the rights of people with disabilities, IPAS staff includes disability rights advocates and attorneys who have the authority to pursue appropriate legal and administrative remedies on behalf of people with disabilities, to ensure the enforcement of their rights. IPAS may be able to assist Hoosiers who have a disability and are being denied a right or are being discriminated against because of that disability.

National Down Syndrome Congress
The mission of the National Down Syndrome Congress is to provide information, advocacy and support concerning all aspects of life for individuals with Down syndrome

National Down Syndrome Society
The mission of the National Down Syndrome Society is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

NICHCY - National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
National resource center providing information on:

  • Disabilities in children and youth.
  • Programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities.
  • IDEA, the nation's special education law.
  • No Child Left Behind.
  • Research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities.

PACER Center
PACER Center is a parent training and information center for families of children and youth with all disabilities from birth through 21 years old. Located in Minneapolis, it serves families across the nation. PACER offers publications about transition and other issues pertinent to raising children with disabilities.

Special Olympics Indiana
Provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in more than 20 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Part of the international network of accredited Special Olympics Programs.
