For people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

#60Stories60Years

60-Years_Indiana4_TransparentThe Arc of Indiana was established in 1956 by parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities who joined together to build a better and more accepting world for their children. Today, the combined strength of our 43 chapters and 25,000 members, state Arcs and The Arc of the United States makes The Arc the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

To help celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we shared 60 stories over a period of 60 days, #60Stories60Years, starting March 1 and continuing to December 30, 2016 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @TheArcIN.

The complete gallery of photos and stories can be viewed here.

Thanks to all the families and individuals who allowed us to share their stories for this project.
