Energy Assistance Programs for Low-Income Households

The Arc of Indiana’s 2014 Winter Heating Assistance Program is now closed to new applications. The program is limited to assisting 250 low-income individuals with disabilities with $100 toward their winter heating bills.  As is past years, the program reached its capacity very quickly.

To learn about other energy assistance programs that may be available in other areas, call 211 for help.

In addition, contact the Community Action Agency in your area to learn about funds available from the state and federal Energy Assistance Program.

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility services during the winter heating months. The program is implemented through the Community Action Agencies with outreach offices in every county.
