DESCRIPTION:Hosted by The Arc Southwest Indiana\nWe are working to build a broader network of self-advocate and family leaders across the state who can connect with other self-advocates and families to support each other in building a good life, across all ages and stages, utilizing Charting the LifeCourse ( https://www.lifecoursetools.com/ ) tools.\nWe are calling on families, self-advocates, DSPs, case managers, advocates, and providers to join in a focus group discussion on how we can take steps together to lay the foundation for this statewide network of support.\nGOALS:\n\nEnhance the capacity of family members to reframe their understanding & expectations for a “good life” for their loved one.\nEnhance the capacity of case managers, DSPs, professionals in the IDD field to use Charting the LifeCourse ( https://www.lifecoursetools.com/ ) principles to reframe their interactions with the people they support and their families to have the “good life” they envision.\nCreate collective impact through the development of local, state and national networks focused on social change driven by Charting the LifeCourse principles.\n\n
