The Latest Most Important Election of Our Lifetime
Election Aftermath
Michael Leppert, Director of Public Affairs, Krieg DeVault, LLP
Lesley Weidenbener, Managing Editor, Indianapolis Business Journal
Our 2020 conference takes place just one week after “the latest most important election of our lifetime.” What will be the aftermath?
You do not want to miss this virtual keynote with Michael Leppert and Lesley Weidenbener, top notch experts in their fields, who share smarts and wit, along with long time experience analyzing the world of politics. Join us as Michael and Lesley lay out what we might expect in 2021 – a year that will bring us either a newly re-elected president or a newly elected president, along with changes in the House and Senate at the federal and state level.
Michael Leppert is a government and communications consultant, a writer, and an adjunct professor. After 13 years of public service to the State of Indiana, he left government service to begin his consulting career in 2002. He is currently the Director of Public Affairs for Krieg DeVault, LLP in Indianapolis. Michael began writing a weekly column published in newspapers throughout Indiana in 2014. His first book, Contrary to Popular Belief, which chronicled his early writing, was published in 2016. He is writing a new book on the political and cultural experience of 2020, and the manuscript of his first novel is being reviewed for publishing now. Movie and Netflix productions are certain to follow.
Lesley Weidenbener is the managing editor of the award-winning Indianapolis Business Journal, where she works with a staff of outstanding reporters to publish news about the central Indiana economy and business community online, through more than a dozen email newsletters and in a weekly newspaper. Lesley came to IBJ in 2015 after more than 20 years covering politics and government at the Indiana Statehouse. She previously worked as editor of TheStatehouseFile.com and Statehouse reporter for The Courier-Journal of Louisville and The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne. She also spent two years covering government and legislative issues at The Independent Mail in Anderson, S.C.
