The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have conditionally approved Indiana’s request for a 10 percent increase to the federal medical assistance percentage (FMAP) for certain Medicaid expenditures for home and community based services (HCBS).
This increase is for qualifying expenditures between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
The state is working with CMS on which Medicaid expenses are allowable and acceptable timing for implementing the state’s proposed spend plan for the 10 percent FMAP increase for HCBS.
