The Arc of Indiana is a state-wide, not-for-profit association that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We are seeking an individual to intern for the finance and trust departments. During the internship, this individual will report to the CFO and will work with general accounting functions for The Arc of Indiana and its subsidiaries as well as assist with monthly reconciliation and oversight of The Arc of Indiana Master Trust records.
The ideal candidate would already have strong computer skills, including proficiency in excel, word and outlook. They would also be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and planning skills.
This individual will work with the CFO to develop a process for and review of all trust transactions and reconciling those between the finance and trust software and records. They will also perform a multi-year review of these transactions.
In addition, this person will assist with month end processes for the finance department, including recording monthly journal entries to the general ledgers, bank and investment reconciliations. This person will serve as back up for trust disbursement check runs and daily deposits and will also become familiar with these processes for the finance team.
This paid internship is a terrific opportunity for someone who wants to work directly with leadership as they will have to work closely with the CFO as well as meet and update the CEO/COO and board members. They may also participate/assist with other special projects throughout the organization.
Please submit a resume and cover letter to Anne Lammert, CFO, firstname.lastname@example.org.
