Yes, You CAN Work: Resources, Supports, and Incentives for Community Employment-Webinar

Employment is an important part of adulthood, and it is the next step in independence, inclusion and equality. Yet some individuals with disabilities and families have concerns about working in the community. In this session, Andy Kirby, Executive Director of The Arc Foundation will discuss the importance of community employment and the resources available to assist people with disabilities in their employment goals. We will discuss the services and supports available through agencies such as Vocational Rehabilitation Services and the Department of Workforce Development. We will also discuss the impact of work on benefits, including ways individuals can work and keep benefits such as Medicaid, waiver services, and Social Security benefits.
