The Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) administers the federally required Level of Care assessment and determination for people who need Nursing Facility Level of Care Assessments, including assessments for the Health & Wellness, PathWays for Aging, and Traumatic Brain Injury waivers. Beginning July 1, FSSA is implementing changes to the assessment process, including assessments for children.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the LCAR will provide:
- Preadmission Screening and Resident Review
- LOC assessments and renewals
- LOC determination recommendations and re-determinations
- Intake counseling for the Indiana PathWays for Aging 60+ population
