Noble/The Arc of Greater Indianapolis, founded in 1953, is proud of its long history as a chapter of The Arc.
For 70 years, The Arc of Indiana has been an incredibly powerful advocate for people with disabilities and their families, driven to protect the rights that are an intrinsic part of the human experience. More than any service it provides or program it facilitates, The Arc serves as an unyielding advocate for and implacable guardian of those inalienable rights that could otherwise be peeled back a bit at a time.
On the one end, it fosters relationships with legislators and other elected officials to ensure that they understand the ramifications on individuals and families of the laws they pass and the policies they promote.
Second, it works with individuals and families to teach effective advocacy techniques.
Third, it strengthens the resulting network of relationships between all these players so that ideas and subsequent actions are exchanged in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Together with local chapters like Noble/The Arc of Greater Indianapolis, The Arc of Indiana helps ensure that we continue to make forward progress toward a world that celebrates and capitalizes on the contributions of all members of the community.
The Arc of Indiana is equally proud to have Noble/The Arc of Greater Indianapolis as an outstanding chapter of The Arc. Today, they continue to strive to achieve their vision of a world in which children and adults of all abilities live out their dreams in a community that embraces their contributions and recognizes them as fully participating members of our society.
