TheArc@School

Do you find the special education process confusing and intimidating? You’re not alone! We get calls from families about school issues all the time, and it seems like school calls have exploded. To address a great need, The Arc of the United States has created an online curriculum, TheArc@School, that can help you become an informed special education advocate.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Lids Foundation, The Arc is providing free enrollment in TheArc@School to the first 100 Hoosier families who sign up. The Arc will provide support as you go through the curriculum so you can ask questions, discuss the information and understand how to use what you are learning in real life.

Self-paced modules include:

  • Building a Foundation for Advocacy
  • IDEA and Early Intervention Services
  • IDEA and Special Education Services
  • Anatomy of an IEP
  • Procedural Safeguards
  • Section 504
  • Educational Records
  • Advocacy Skills

The Arc@School can help you learn to advocate for the services and supports your child needs.
